The only way I was able to beat her was to buy a bunch of revives and them use them to keep two of my Pokemon alive until she ran out of full restores and PP XDD

Cynthia was a tough opponent

Here's how to defeat Cynthia:

1. Make your sixth item a Rare Candy.
2. Talk to the old man in Viridian City then say "No".
3. After the battle is done, Fly to Cinnabar Island.
4. Use Surf on the east coast.
5. Move up and down the coast until you encounter Missingo.
6. Defeat it. You'll now have near infinite Rare Candies.
7. Buff your Pokemon and defeat Cynthia.
8. YAAAAAAAAAY
