I haven't done colored pencil in a long time, so I made a lot of careless mistakes when I was doing this one. XD;; Like, I'm pretty sure I started shading his neck with the wrong pencil for a little while. o_o;; And I also didn't feel like leaving my room and going to the computer to look up refs for the fuzzy on his hood, so I sort of just blindly jumped into it lol... which works fine with digital art, but is a lot harder to pull off with traditional. Which is a shame because most of my out-of-the-ordinary artistic endeavors are undertaken with little to no preparation LOL. e_e;;;;

Also when I was actually drawing the lines, I liked the neck and couldn't bear to cover it up with Fai's normal clothes because those have a collar/thing. So as a result, he ends up looking sort of like he's trying to look gangsta, which does not make me very happy. o_o

I need to get a new skin tone pencil too... I lost it a long time ago and I had to use a cream color for this which makes him look sorta washed out.

But you probably know how it feels to look at something you drew and be able to pick out every mistake, yet you still really like it. All the praise I can give this drawing is that I still really like it, and I guess that overrides all the little mistakes for me anyway. XD; It's a LEARNING EXPERIENCE. :>

also, my scanner's performance was up to par on this one. Just keep in mind that my scanner has a VERY LOW PAR. I tried adjusting the levels in Photoshop (again without even bothering to learn what I was doing lol) and it looks a bit better, but the quality still looks like that of a bad photo with the flash on too high. OTL It's really way better in real life, as is the case always.
